The church is the sleeping giant that must awaken to its mandate. By church, I mean the individual believer, the local church, and the global church. There is more to the church than what has been experienced thus far. Beyond the singing, praising, preaching, and verse recitation, it is an institution that was birthed in the power of the Holy Spirit with a mandate to disciple the world. The church is more than a religious institution; it is the kingdom of God’s embassy here on earth. It is the body of Christ, His hands and feet, through which He walks and works. However, the church must rise to the reality of ‘who it is and whose it is.’ This book delves deep into what the church is, its mandate, and its power. The author contends that the church is operating below its potential, and it can do more, go far, and reach further if it awakens from its sleep. The church is a force for change, not just any change but transformative change for the better. That is why the church cannot remain silent on things that matter. As in the words of Edmund Burke nailed it when he said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” The church must arise; Jesus is coming soon.
