This is a devotional for flagging, inner-city, Christian teachers!
They include experiences and reflections from the author’s inner city teaching experience, very similar to what you may be going through now. She also provides a helpful God- perspective on each of them, for moving forward, by providing:
- Daily inspiration rooted in scripture Motivating reflections on the situations you might be facing
- Prayers to align your heart with God’s heart
- Space to write down what God is saying to you – fresh wisdom and instructions for each new term. Also, space to write your own thoughts and prayers.
Between the readings are ‘self-care’ pages. These are intentional, ‘be-nice-to-yourself’ prompts to help revive your body and mind, ready for a new term. These are planning pages that I encourage teachers to follow through on for your own benefit.
EXHALE is encouragement for Christian teachers in city schools. It is God-inspired, strengthening and uplifting input for each day of your vacation – like finding a waterhole whilst travelling through a desert! It is inspiration to remain in the classroom as ‘salt and light’ despite the challenges of school life, for the sake of the children.
