Jesus - The Wounded Healer is a five-session DVD resource for groups ideal for use during Lent but suitable for any time of the year. Presented by Mick Brooks, 'Jesus - the Wounded Healer' was filmed in the grounds of the Wintershall Estate, home of Peter Hutley and his amateur dramatic presentations, including 'The Life of Christ' the 'Wintershall Nativity' and the 'Acts of the Apostles'. This beautiful location provides the backdrop for Mick's teaching based on the writings of Selwyn Hughes. The main theme is Jesus' ability to heal our wounds, flowing from the fact that He Himself has experienced our wounds. We may never fully grasp the mystery of suffering but God does not leave us floundering. Though He may not take the pain away He is with us in our pain. Jesus offers the example of how to meet suffering and gives us strength and hope to face whatever comes our way. The DVD resource includes one DVD and one personal booklet. Additional personal booklets can be purchased separately and are recommended for each participant.
The DVD also comes with a workbook/booklet with discussion questions. The focus of Christ's pain and suffering with us makes this an ideal resource for Lent, either in groups or individually. Additional copies of the workbook/booklet is available separately for groups.
