Fifteen year old Emily Grace (Em) discovers a civil war era diary in an old attic in Petersburg that holds a murder mystery. Whisked back in time five days before the murder, Em loses her memory. Two hours before the murder, she regains her memory and races to a confederate prison to save the life of an innocent man.
