This significant book fills a significant gap. Every non-denominational school has a chaplain (3500 in all) and there are 1500 Church of Scotland chaplains alone. Scottish Education is framed by the new 'Curriculum for Excellence' (CfE) which includes a requirement for Religious Observance and Spiritual Development. There is currently no guidebook for Schools or Chaplains on how this should be done in the new CfE context, nor do existing books of assembly materials fit the CfE formatting. A Time for Reflection addresses both needs and more.
