Much more than a praise & worship album, The Worship Initiative represents a bigger project near and dear to Shane & Shane: a worship resourcing website where musicians and worship leaders can get both musical training and spiritual teaching. It was a vision to merge musicianship and mentorship.
For this undertaking, they recorded covers of 100 popular worship tracks played by A-list musicians, videotaping each instrument in detail. They then added inductive Bible training, devotions to accompany each song and a scripture search function to put the word of God in leaders' mouths as they are using these songs corporately.
This new Fair Trade release celebrates the best of The Worship Initiative recordings, taking some of the newly- launched website's top tracks and enhancing the production a bit, then adding additional brand new worship covers.
